Think Outside The Box Office

What started as a book is now a multi faceted educational experience.

I wrote Think Outside the Box Office (TOTBO) to be the step-by-step guide for filmmakers to distribute and market their films that I wished I had when I released my film Bomb It.  In writing the book, I drew not only on my experiences, but I interviewed countless other filmmakers, distributors, publicists, web programmers, festival programmers and marketing experts.

I have now started a series of TOTBO Workshops to bring these tools directly to filmmakers around the world. Like the book, these workshops are focused on nuts and bolts tools and strategies that you can apply directly to your films.  To further help and engage filmmakers, I am developing a website devoted to providing you with up to the minute resources to help you distribute and market your film including lists of distributors, theaters, digital aggregators etc.
